Swallowed Whole Theatre is an Experimental theatre/ live art performance company. The members of this company are Angela Legg and Sara Bernate. We met while studying (BA) Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies at Roehampton University in 2011. We graduated in July 2014 and founded this company.

 

Our different backgrounds and interests in the field of art mean we create unique performances where both; commercial and intellectual art meet. Our aim is to create performance art which is accessible to a wide audience base. You don’t need to be an expert in art or an academic to understand and appreciate what we do.

 

Our most recent performance is called “Senses”. It explores the potential of recorded sound versus live sound. It also invites audiences to play with their own senses. This is an interactive, intimate performance in which each audience member is expected to isolate itself from the others and listen, see, taste, smell and feel.
